"I'll forever cherish it." That is what a wedding film is supposed to do.
Dylan and Macy chose Piney River Ranch not because it was convenient. Getting there requires a forty-minute drive up a forest service dirt road, twelve miles north of Vail Village, at the base of the Gore Range. The kind of place that asks something of you before it gives anything back. What it gives back is unreplicable.
On a September afternoon, surrounded by everyone who showed up and meant it, a father lost his words trying to describe what it means to be a girl dad. A daughter recited vows she had clearly been carrying for years. A room full of people who traveled far felt every mile disappear the moment the ceremony began.
This film was not made to document a wedding. It was made so that decades from now, the people in it and the people who come after them can watch it and know exactly who Dylan and Macy were on the day they chose each other forever. That is legacy-leaving production. That is what we do.
Ordinary is not an option. Neither is an ordinary film.
