Connor & Natalia have quickly become some of our favorite people we have met. From the first call with Connor I was met with so much joy and positivity, but in a genuine "this guy really loves her" kind of way. They gave me free reign to tell their story with any creative tools that I saw fit. I gave Connor the Super8 camera and told him to film throughout the day. With that, we got some truly authentic moments between him and Natalia. Not to mention the POV from some of the groomsmen. Natalie had me cracking up during this edit. Her one liners are all-time legendary. THIS is why I advocate for brides to also be mic'd. There are just some moments that wouldn't have been captured without it.
The implementation of the disposable camera photos in the film was something I had not ever done before. This is a true "guest perspective" of the wedding day and I really loved weaving that into the reception footage. Bouncing back and forth between dance floor still frames and the live footage added a sense of nostalgia to the film.
La Tesserae is a gorgeous new venue in East Downtown Houston (EADO) and has one of the BEST balcony views in the entire city. Did you see that cocktail hour? Did you see that SUNSET?
